Student Organizations

Faculty in the Department of Marketing actively support and advise four student organizations, all of which have successful track records in gaining student involvement, contributing to the university and community, and succeeding at the highest levels of competition. These student organizations are a major component of the department's ongoing pride and tradition.

The American Marketing Association (AMA), American Advertising Federation (AAF), and Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) have  received national recognition and are poised for continued growth and success. For a complete list of student organizations sponsored through the McCoy College of Business please visit the student organizations website

Marketing majors, as well as other interested students, are encouraged to become actively engaged in student organizations. Engagement in these groups provides the opportunity for taking leadership roles, learning new ideas, enhancing communication skills, gaining contacts and mentors, learning from experts, and affiliating with a chosen field and profession.  To learn more about these opportunities, contact the faculty advisor.

Students in Free Enterprise

Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) is an international nonprofit organization that works with leaders in business and higher education to mobilize university students to make a difference in their communities while developing the skills to become socially responsible business leaders. Participating students form teams on their university campuses and apply business concepts to develop outreach projects that improve the quality of life and standard of living for people in need. An annual series of regional and national competitions provides a forum for teams to present the results of their projects, and to be evaluated by business leaders serving as judges. In addition to the community aspect of the program, SIFE's leadership and career initiatives create meaningful opportunities for learning and exchange among the participants as well as the placement of students and alumni with companies in search of emerging talent.
